Special Announcement - Updated 4/11
Timberwolf Youth Baseball Community,

Although this week brought the closure of schools for the remainder of the 2019-2020 year we remain optimistic that there will be a modified baseball season. On March 18th Clackamas County Junior Baseball Association released their transitional plans for the 2020 season. This pertains to our Minor, Junior and Senior level teams.

May 11, 2020
New start week of the 2020 CCJBA Season, if restrictions are lifted by the Oregon Governor, OSAA, CDC, Schools, etc.
---There is no date change for District or JBO Championship Games.
If there are still mandated restrictions in place on May 11th, the season opener will be moved to June 1st (or earlier if restrictions are lifted)

June 1, 2020
Final start week of the 2020 CCJBA Season, if restrictions are lifted by the Oregon Governor, OSAA, CDC, Schools, etc.
---There is no date change for District or JBO Championship Games.
---Teams will play the first 8 teams on their schedule. There will be no rescheduling of those games and must be finished by original league end date dependent on level of play.
---There will be no team movements.

If there are still mandated restrictions in place on June 1st, the season will be officially cancelled.

For our Lil’ Wolves, Rookies and Pioneers levels we also intend to play a modified schedule. Which will hope to mirror the CCJBA plan mentioned above.

Our program has many expenditures that were required up front in preparation for our season (uniforms, equipment, baseballs, storage fees, field costs, website/registration fees, insurance etc.). At the moment our budget is frozen, no refunds given and all decisions will be made after final decision on the season is made by CCJBA and Timberwolf Youth Baseball.

We very much appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this difficult period. We will continue to follow the government guidelines to ensure safety to all in our baseball community. We believe the return to baseball would be a great step back to some normalcy in our children’s lives.

We hope families are safe and remain in good health during this heightened time of social distancing.

Go Wolves!

Letter from our President

Welcome to Timberwolf Youth Baseball!

Timberwolf Youth Baseball is pleased to introduce our 2020 baseball season.

We will be continuing our successful and widely popular T-Ball and Pioneer programs with no changes.

Again this year, the rest of our baseball association teams will be playing Junior Baseball in the Clackamas County Junior Baseball Association. Teams are selected by Grade (3rd & 4th Minors, 5th & 6th Juniors, and 7th & 8th Seniors) and skill level (Federal, American, and National) after players try-out and are evaluated.

Junior Baseball provides a framework for youth to develop and refine their basic skills within a team oriented environment. The program stresses continuity in age grouping, competition at equal levels of ability, a progression in playing distances (the fields get bigger as the players progress), and teaches the complete game of baseball (leading off, stealing, and holding runners). Best of all, when it comes time for post season play, a team goes as a unit, without the heartbreak, and sometimes unjust All-Star selection process.

All of our players have the opportunity to advance to District and State tournaments with a chance to succeed at their playing level.

The Tualatin Youth Baseball board continues to evaluate our association to ensure that all players have the greatest opportunity to develop their skill level through clinics, coaching, and league play. If you have suggestions or would like to volunteer to help in any way, please contact a member of the board.

We look forward to seeing you at the ballpark!

Darrell Pizer
Timberwolf Youth Baseball President
